Privacy policy

Vespra, iOS app · version of 7 October 2026

In short. Vespra has no account, no server, no analytics and no advertising. The sound of your room is processed on your iPhone and is never sent anywhere. What Vespra keeps stays on the iPhone and is excluded from iCloud backup. IE DIGITAL, the publisher, receives none of your data and cannot access it. You can erase everything at any time from the app.

1. Who is responsible

Vespra is published by IE DIGITAL, a French SARL registered with the Lille Métropole trade register under number 822 744 116, with its registered office at 31 rue du Président Kennedy, 59237 Verlinghem, France. Publication director: Alexandre Elard, manager. Contact: contact@iedigital.fr. IE DIGITAL receives no data from the app and has not appointed a data protection officer; for any question, write to that address.

2. The microphone

When you arm a night, Vespra listens to the room through the iPhone's microphone until you stop listening. The sound is processed continuously, on the iPhone, to note two kinds of sounds: snoring, and the quiet stretches between two sounds. No sound is sent anywhere: Vespra has no server.

Only 20-second clips around these sounds are saved, so you can replay them. They are deleted automatically after 30 days. The rest of the sound is never saved.

Night mode records everyone in the room. Vespra doesn't know who the sounds come from. Make sure anyone sleeping near you agrees before you arm the night.

3. Data kept on the iPhone

  • 20-second audio clips: replay. Deleted after 30 days.
  • Night log (start and end times, times and lengths of snoring and quiet stretches, interruptions, battery level, whether two people were in the room): showing your nights and your history. No sound.
  • Settings and answers (wake-up time, bedtime target, evening step, evening and morning answers, subject of the "Evening → night" test): preparing your evening and comparing your evenings.
  • Reminder settings: sending the notifications you chose.

The sounds of your night can reveal information about your health. They are processed and stored only on your iPhone. IE DIGITAL never has access to them and never receives them.

Vespra doesn't ask for your name, email address or phone number, and doesn't use Apple Health.

4. What can leave the app

IE DIGITAL receives nothing. The flows below only exist if you use the feature concerned.

  • Exports. The export of your nights (a PDF with your audio clips) and of the log (a JSON file) only leave the app if you share them yourself with the iOS share sheet. You alone choose who receives them; once shared, they are governed by the service you chose.
  • Purchase. The one-time purchase is handled by Apple. IE DIGITAL receives neither your identity nor your payment details, only anonymous sales statistics.
  • Notifications. Evening and morning reminders are scheduled on the iPhone, with no server.
  • Files. The night log is visible in the Files app, in Vespra's folder on the iPhone.

5. Analytics, advertising, trackers, artificial intelligence

Vespra contains no analytics, no advertising, no trackers, no third-party SDK and no artificial intelligence service. If you agreed in iOS to share analytics with developers, Apple may send IE DIGITAL crash reports and anonymous statistics; you can change this in Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements.

6. Security and backup

Vespra's data is protected by iOS encryption and excluded from iCloud backup. As a result, if you lose or change your iPhone without exporting your nights, they are lost.

7. Retention and erasure

  • Audio clips: 30 days, then automatic deletion.
  • Log, settings and answers: on your iPhone, until you erase them.
  • Me › Erase everything deletes all of Vespra's data and clips; deleting the app does the same.
  • Emails exchanged with IE DIGITAL are kept for at most 3 years after the last exchange.

8. Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. Since IE DIGITAL holds none of your Vespra data, you exercise these rights directly in the app (export, "Erase everything"). For any other request, write to contact@iedigital.fr; you will get an answer within one month. You can lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (www.cnil.fr), or with the authority in your country.

9. What Vespra is

Vespra is an evening wellbeing app. It is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, monitor or prevent any disease or condition. Night mode records sounds in your room using your iPhone's microphone and shows when snoring was heard and when the room went quiet. It does not measure breathing or any body function. It gives no score or threshold. Everything is processed and stored on your device. IE DIGITAL collects none of it. Exports are created and shared only by you. If you have any concern about your sleep or your health, see a doctor. Night mode records everyone in the room: make sure anyone sleeping near you agrees.

Vespra makes no decision about you within the meaning of Article 22 of the GDPR.

10. Changes to this policy

Any significant change will be shown in the app before it applies. The version date is at the top of this page.
