Licence agreement and terms of use of Ferralis (iPhone and Apple Watch) · version of 25 October 2026

In short. Ferralis is a strength-training tool, for sport and leisure use. It is not a medical device and it does not replace a doctor’s advice. Your data stays on your device and in your iCloud: we do not have access to it. You buy your subscriptions from Apple; IE DIGITAL publishes the app and is responsible for how it works. These terms do not reduce any of the rights the law gives you as a consumer.

1. Who we are, and who is bound by this agreement

Ferralis is published by IE DIGITAL, a single-shareholder SARL (French limited liability company) registered with the Lille Métropole Trade and Companies Register (RCS) under number 822 744 116, with its registered office at 31 rue du Président Kennedy, 59237 Verlinghem, France. Telephone: 09 86 13 95 51. Email: contact@iedigital.fr. These are the details to use for your questions, complaints or requests about the app.

This agreement is concluded between you and IE DIGITAL, not with Apple. IE DIGITAL, not Apple, is solely responsible for the app and its content. For Ferralis, it replaces Apple’s standard licence agreement. It cannot contradict Apple’s Media Services Terms and Conditions, which you accepted to use the App Store and which govern the purchase itself.

You accept this agreement by downloading or using Ferralis. If you do not accept it, do not use the app.

2. What Ferralis does

Ferralis builds and adapts a strength-training programme from what you tell it, guides your sessions, records your loads and your history, and offers general nutrition guidelines. The Apple Watch app accompanies your sessions. From version 1.6, Ferralis can also, if you turn it on, read the cardio sessions recorded in the Health app to display them and organise your programme around them, and guide interval sessions.

Ferralis works without an account. Some features require a subscription or the lifetime purchase: they are described in the purchase terms. Without a purchase, the app can still be used as a day log.

3. Warning: for sport, not medical use

  • Ferralis is not a medical device. It makes no diagnosis, monitors no health condition and offers no treatment. Its programmes, nutrition guidelines and texts are general training information, not personalised medical or dietary advice.
  • Talk to a doctor before starting or resuming strength training, particularly if you have a health problem, are taking medication, are pregnant or are returning after a break, and before any decision that affects your health.
  • Listen to your body. Stop the session if you feel unwell or notice unusual discomfort, abnormal breathlessness or dizziness, and see a doctor. The suggested loads and reps are suggestions: you decide what you lift, with a technique you have mastered and, if needed, the help of a training partner or coach.
  • Areas to go easy on simply leave out exercises that work the area you have chosen; they measure nothing and treat nothing.
  • Nutrition guidelines are not intended for people who have an eating disorder, are pregnant or are breastfeeding. They are not displayed under the age of 18.
  • Data from the Health app (weight, height, steps and, from version 1.6, heart rate, active energy, distance, pace, route) is measured by your devices and provided by Apple. Ferralis displays it as it is, without interpretation, and does not guarantee its accuracy.
  • Train in a safe place. When you are out and about, do not look at your screen while moving and follow the highway code.

4. Minors

Ferralis is for people aged 16 and over. The age you enter is not verified; between 16 and 18, your purchases are made with the consent of your legal guardian.

5. The licence we grant you

IE DIGITAL grants you, for your personal and non-commercial use, a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Ferralis on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, within the usage rules set by Apple’s Media Services Terms and Conditions (which notably allow Family Sharing where it is offered). This licence is worldwide, for the term of this agreement.

Except where the law allows you to, you may not: copy, modify, translate, decompile or disassemble the app; extract its texts, illustrations, programmes or exercise database to reuse or distribute them; rent it, resell it or make it available to other people over a network; get around its purchase mechanisms.

6. Intellectual property

The app, its code, its name, its texts, its illustrations, its animations, its exercise database and its programmes belong to IE DIGITAL or are licensed to it. The licence does not transfer any of these rights to you. Apple’s trademarks and services remain Apple’s property.

If a third party claims that Ferralis, or your compliant use of Ferralis, infringes its intellectual property rights, IE DIGITAL, not Apple, is solely responsible for investigating, defending, settling and discharging that claim.

7. Your data and your content

What you enter in Ferralis (programme, sessions, loads, notes, measurements, meal log) belongs to you. This data stays on your device and, for some of it, in your iCloud; IE DIGITAL does not have access to it. The details are in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.

As we do not hold any copy of your data, we cannot restore it if it is erased from your device and your iCloud. Ferralis lets you back it up to a file (Profile › Data › Back up this profile): remember to use it.

8. Apple services and third-party terms

Ferralis relies on Apple services that you choose to use: the App Store, iCloud, the Health app, notifications and, from version 1.6, the base map. These services are governed by the terms you accepted with Apple, which you must comply with. IE DIGITAL controls neither their availability nor how they work.

9. Updates, maintenance and support

IE DIGITAL is solely responsible for the maintenance of Ferralis and for support, and Apple has no obligation in this respect. For any question: contact@iedigital.fr or the support page.

We publish updates on the App Store, including those needed to keep the app in line with what you were promised, for the period required by law. We let you know through the App Store. If you do not install a necessary update, we are not liable for the defect it would have fixed, provided we informed you of its existence and of the consequences of not installing it. An update may change features, without taking away from a current subscription or a lifetime purchase what makes up its essential part.

10. Legal guarantees

You benefit from the legal guarantee of conformity for digital content and services provided for by the French Consumer Code (Code de la consommation), as well as the other guarantees imposed by law. If Ferralis does not work as it should, write to us: we will first try to bring the app into conformity. You can also contact Apple, which collected the price, to obtain a refund under its procedures; apart from this refund, Apple has no other warranty obligation, and any other claim relating to a defect is a matter for IE DIGITAL.

11. Liability

IE DIGITAL is liable for Ferralis under the conditions provided for by law. Nothing in this agreement excludes or limits the liability that the law places on us towards a consumer, in particular in the event of personal harm or fault on our part.

We are not, however, liable for what is beyond our control: use contrary to the warnings in article 3; the accuracy of measurements provided by your devices or by the Health app; the unavailability or functioning of Apple services; the loss of data that you erased yourself or that only existed on a lost device; a case of force majeure.

IE DIGITAL, not Apple, handles any claim from you or a third party relating to Ferralis or its use, in particular product liability claims, claims that the app fails to conform to the regulations that apply to it, and claims under consumer protection, privacy and Health app data use rules.

12. Export restrictions

Apple asks us to have you declare that you are not located in a country that is subject to a United States Government embargo or that has been designated by that Government as a country supporting terrorism, and that you are not on any list of prohibited or restricted parties drawn up by that Government. By using Ferralis, you make this declaration.

13. Term and termination

This agreement lasts as long as you use Ferralis. You can end it at any time by deleting the app from your devices; if you have a subscription, remember to cancel it as well in your Apple Account settings, because deleting the app does not cancel it. IE DIGITAL may end it if you seriously breach article 5, after asking you to stop the breach where possible. The end of the agreement does not erase your data from your iCloud or from the Health app: you delete it yourself (see the privacy policy).

14. Apple as third-party beneficiary

You and IE DIGITAL acknowledge that Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this agreement and that, as soon as you accept it, Apple has the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce it against you as a third-party beneficiary.

15. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms, for example when a feature is added. The new version is published on this page with its date, and a significant change is announced to you in the app before it applies. It only applies going forward. If you do not accept it, you can stop using Ferralis and cancel your subscription at no cost.

16. Complaints

If you run into a problem, write to us first at contact@iedigital.fr: we will reply as quickly as we can. For anything relating to payment or refunds, Apple is your point of contact.

17. Governing law and courts

This agreement is governed by French law. If you habitually reside in another country, you keep the protection given to you by the mandatory rules of that country’s law. In the event of a dispute, and failing an amicable agreement, you may bring the matter, at your choice, before the court of your place of residence or any other court with jurisdiction under the law.

18. Miscellaneous

If a clause of this agreement is held to be void, the others remain applicable. Not enforcing a right at a given time does not amount to waiving that right. This agreement is written in French; if a translation is provided, the French version prevails, unless the law provides otherwise.
