Frequently asked questions
Do I need to create an account?
No. Essor works without an account and without a server: your data is stored and encrypted on your iPhone. Details in the privacy policy.
How do I switch iPhones without losing anything?
Essor data is not included in your iCloud backup. On the old iPhone: Profile › Privacy › Export my data, choose a passphrase and save the .essor file. On the new iPhone: Import an export, with the same passphrase.
My index doesn’t change or shows “—”
Check access to Apple Health in Settings › Health › Data Access › Essor. Missing data is never made up: the dimension concerned stays empty and the index’s confidence level goes down. See the index method.
How do I import a blood test report?
In the Reports › Import a report tab, choose the PDF from your laboratory. Check each value before confirming. Importing and viewing are free. “For my appointment” then prepares a PDF that you review before showing it to your doctor.
What is the no-pressure day for?
One day a week (Sunday by default, adjustable in Progress) when nothing is expected: if it passes without an action, your streak continues.
The widgets don’t show my actions
Open Essor once: the widgets update each time you open the app. On the Lock Screen, the Profile › Privacy › Neutral text option replaces the action’s title with “Your action for today”.
What does Essor Premium include?
General ideas linked to the reference ranges in your blood test reports, observations about your habits, and unlimited dinner ideas. The actions, today’s cooking, the Essor Index and its explanation, and importing and viewing blood test reports remain free.
How do I cancel or restore my subscription?
To cancel: Profile › Subscription › Manage or cancel subscription, or Settings › your name › Subscriptions, at least 24 hours before the renewal date. To restore after reinstalling: Restore purchases, with the same Apple Account. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
How do I erase everything?
Profile › Privacy › Erase all, then confirm. All Essor data on the iPhone is deleted. What remains: Apple Health data (Essor writes nothing to it), ingredients added to Reminders, and files you have shared or exported.
Does Essor replace medical advice?
No. Essor is a wellbeing app, not a medical device: it does not interpret your results and does not make any diagnosis. If a result concerns you, talk to your doctor.
